At Canarian Properties, not only do we want you to find your dream property, but we also want you to know everything there is to know about your chosen destination. And if you are looking to purchase property in a sunny climate like Tenerife, then you are likely to be interested in the beaches in the area. Playa De Las Americas certainly does not disappoint when it comes to the coastline. We often have people ask us why this resort is so popular, but as soon as you visit, it’s easy to see why. With an excellent selection of beaches to choose from, there is something to suit everyone's taste. Here are some of our favourite Playa De Las Americas beaches! Take a look at which ones could be on your doorstep.

Playa de Troya

Playa de Las Americas is blessed with the presence of Playa de Troya, the best-known beach in Tenerife. The 650m beach is made up of two adjacent bays, Playa Troya and Playa Troya II and has been awarded the blue flag for quality. The sand here is dark and golden, formed from volcanic rocks and minerals. There is ample beach space and plenty of sunbeds available for hire at €6 each. The artificial bay creates breakwaters from the waves, although this does not fully stop the natural waves of the Atlantic and you should take note of the colour of the flying flag to determine whether the swimming conditions are safe. The water is clear and shallow, which makes it extremely popular with families. The beach offers a variety of watersports including jet skis, parasailing and pedal boating with two water sports centres to choose from. The lining promenade is packed with many bars and restaurants and you can take a walk along the promenade to Los Cristianos or Costa Adeje. This beach simply does have everything.

Playa Honda

Playa Honda is an unprotected beach, very popular with surfers. The sand here is dark and partly small stones. The beach has a surf school where lessons are available for surfing, padding and body boarding. It is often referred to as ‘El Dedo’ by surfers which translates to ‘The Finger’ which refers to the big rock entering the ocean, pointing out the best surfing conditions. Sun loungers and parasols are on offer, although there are fewer of these than the neighbouring beaches making it a quiet area. The promenade is wide offering plenty of shops and restaurants.

Playa Camison

Playa camison beach is located in the Southern part of Playa De Las Americas. The quiet cove is sheltered creating calm waters, ideal for paddling. The sand is fine and golden, with a promenade lined with palm trees. This is the ideal place to visit for a relaxing day at the beach, still with access with excellent facilities. The 120 metres long beach offers a beach club, sun loungers and parasols for hire, snack bars and water activities such as pedal boats. The surroundings are flat making it the perfect place to take a relaxing stroll whilst taking in the views. Behind the promenade you will find a selection of restaurants, cafes and shops.

Playa Del Bobo

Playa Del Bobo is the perfect beach for anyone looking for tranquility and their tends to be fewer visitors here. Unlike the neighbouring beaches, Playa Del Bobo does not offer any water sports. If you are looking for total relaxation, then visit one of the massage tents along the beach. Swimming is safe as the bay makes it well protected from the waves. The sand is fine and grey and there are a number of sunbeds and parasols available.
